Manager/ Rehabilitation Consultant/ Case Manager
Cate Millar graduated, from Sydney University, with Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy in 1980. She has 30 years’ experience in a broad range of clinical settings including acute and outpatient rehabilitation within hospital settings, community and occupational rehabilitation as well as palliative care. She commenced in Private Practice in 2009, providing personal injury management within various schemes including Compulsory Third Party(CTP), Workcover, icare (lifetime care and workers-care) and Guardianship schemes.
Cate is intentional about providing individuals and their families opportunities for ideal well-being, with a framework to enable them to fully participate in life post injury. She adopts a person-centred approach, utilising strengths and working collaboratively to assist clients (and their families where indicated) plan and achieve goals, to maximise their level of independence and community participation, as well as adjustment to injury. She uses her expertise in skills of communication and negotiation to achieve positive outcomes across all stakeholders.
Cate is committed to continuing professional development to utilise best practice, to enable sound clinical resoning for recommendations to achieve effectual outcomes.
